We have successfully transitioned into an era of remote and hybrid working models. With such a fundamental paradigm shift, the conventional mindset regarding good communication has also been redefined.
During my professional experience working remotely, there are some key points I have figured out which all lead to effective communication:
Predictable routine
Working remotely has undoubtedly given a lot of flexibility and cost-saving for employees. However, it is necessary to have a predictable routine. It helps the other team members regarding any queries for better collaboration.
Promptness in responses
The more the delay in your response time, the worse collaboration gets. That said, having a predictable routine solves this as well.
Clarity in thoughts
This point is the root of all communication. After all, what you say is inherently more important than how you say it.
Use of task management software like Jira
It is imperative to communicate your work through software like Jira. Understanding it and using it effectively will build credibility and improve team collaboration.
Writing emails
Writing detailed emails, adding the right people and groups, and maintaining proper email chains is an effective strategy in corporate communication.
